Manifesting the Next Big Thing in Your Life? How to Use Your Human Design for a Boost

I caught up with one of my best friends and former roommates the other day and the first item on the list of many things we needed to catch up on, was the fact that she had just met the person she had been manifesting for years … literally down to eye color, height, fluency in languages … spooky! I also opened up my Instagram for a Q&A and got a question about tips for manifesting based on your Human Design and so naturally I had to look at my friend’s chart, and sure enough, she is a specific manifestor. So what does this all mean?

Well, there are two strategies for manifesting in Human Design - specific or non-specific. This is a concept that comes from Jenna Zoe and focuses on the “view variable.” There are some Human Design practitioners who don’t jive with this since it isn’t “original” to the system – but I leave that to you in your personal experiment. If this resonates the run with it, but above and beyond everything it is MOST important to follow your strategy and authority. When it comes to manifesting we can get very in our heads and convince ourselves we “want” something for a variety of reasons that may or may not have to do with our own conditioning –– or expectations from society, family, etc –– but if our energy isn’t truly aligned with what is meant for us then it can feel like an uphill battle. For example, I’m a sacral generator so before making a list of things I’d like to manifest, I would have spent some time taking note of what my gut is responding to. Based on what lights me up or feels exciting (often for reasons that make no logical sense to me!), I can then start to narrow things down using my “manifesting type.” With this in mind, I invite you to get curious! Deepen your relationship with your strategy and authority and see if this variable knowledge lights an extra fire on your ability to manifest.

We are all undeniably magnetic, worthy, and capable of creating a reality that reflects that which is aligned for us. Just keep that in mind as you go down this particular rabbit hole ;)

OK so into the logistics… you can tell which is in your design by looking at the arrows on your body graph. The bottom right arrow is the key to your manifesting strategy. Many people think Manifestor types are the only ones who can manifest and that is simply untrue. Every single type has the power to create the reality and experiences they want in life, manifestation is about intention. To understand a bit more about what it means to have variables (arrows) that face left or right – check out this post.

Specific Manifestors

If the arrow is pointing Left, you are a specific manifestor. This means you need to be extremely clear with the universe when your try and manifest things into your life. Technically, this translates to a “focused” view which means you have the ability to really zero in on the details. How you see things may already have a series of specific filters on it. Bringing your attention to the details by taking note of where your authority is leading you will be helpful here. I’m a specific manifestor so I like to start at a high-level and drill into the details from there. Let’s say I’m looking for an apartment. I may know the area I’m interested in and the sort of building I like but then when it comes to the actual apartment itself – I need to see it and notice what aspects make me excited. Maybe it’s the windows or the roof deck or the kitchen appliances, then from there I have some clear ideas of what I want to manifest or call in about my ideal space.

Make a list of what you’re looking to call in and be as specific as possible — if you’re looking for a new apartment, list out how many rooms, windows, design style, flooring type — even what street you’d like to live on. Or like my friend, make a list of the qualities you’re looking for in a partner, what do you like? Dislike? Get into the nitty-gritty. This will help you get extremely clear and encourage you not to settle for something that really doesn’t feel aligned for you.

I also like to always remind people to leave room for the universe to surprise you – again to get out of the “head” and into your authority. Know what you like, validate the specifics that feel good to you, and your authority will get dialed WAY up.

Non-Specific Manifestors

If your arrow is pointing right, you are an abstract manifestor. This means you just need a general idea of what you’re calling in and you can trust the universe to fill in the specifics for you. When your view variable is facing to the right, it’s all about being receptive and trusting that the details will get filled in with time. It’s a bit like trying to make a puzzle. You may start off with a few very clear pieces in place but you have to surrender to a certain extent and trust that you will find the rest of the pieces when the timing is right. Let yourself play around building out the edges of the picture then skipping to the middle then playing around and experimenting from there. It’s all about understanding that things will show up when you need them and not locking yourself into having it all figured out.

I will add, this process still requires you to aim your energy in a particular direction. If you’re looking for the perfect career, start exploring your areas of interest, do some searching on LinkedIn to see what other people are doing and what seems interesting. This is a good place to call in your authority and strategy for help – what’s your gut responding to? What have you been talking about most? What makes you feel great?

Creating vision boards, mood boards, and being around people and places that inspire you will help you get into the frequency of manifesting the right thing for you.

A Note to Remember…

Whether your arrow is pointing left or right remember to follow your authority and strategy when new things come into your life to ensure you are making space for all the wonderful things you’re actively manifesting. Every opportunity, place, or relationship may not be the right one — but when it is you’ll feel it!
